The following summarizes the daily camp clothing needs and should help you to decide which items you may need to purchase for the summer.

Daily items to Wear:  Campers are required to wear Camp Hillard T-shirts daily, along with a comfortable pair of shorts, socks, and sneakers. Also, all children with long hair must have pony tails, braids, pig tails, a bathing cap, or any style that keeps hair away from the face during swimming, as long hair inhibits swim progress and is a safety concern. Thank you for your cooperation.

Daily Items to Bring:  We recommend a Camp Bag or similar to bring other items to and from camp. The bag should have the camper's name and address clearly marked on the outside. Campers always bring two swimsuits (nylon preferred) each day (one suit for Pawnees). We find one-piece suits for girls the most practical for camp. As for towels, we now offer daily towel service, so campers do not need to bring towels! Sun block should be kept in the camper's bag throughout the summer. In addition, campers may wish to bring items such as baseball caps and swim goggles. Also, on cold and/or rainy days, campers should have a sweatshirt or sweater, sweatpants, windbreaker, or other appropriate coo/ weather/rain gear.

Items on the first day of camp:  Pool shoes can be brought to camp on the first day and will be kept in the camper's cubby during the summer. Please note that campers no longer need to bring rest mats to Camp, as they will be provided by the Camp to all campers that need rest mats during rest period (Comanches and younger).

Everything that a camper brings to camp MUST HAVE HIS/HER FIRST AND LAST NAME ON IT. Please make sure to have all name labeling of clothing completed before Camp starts.

Items NOT  to bring: Please do not send expensive clothing and toys. Please note that cell phones, electronics, sticker books, card collections, or other toys that are now in fashion, are not permitted at Camp. Also, food, candy, gum, etc. are not permitted to be brought to camp or on the bus. We kindly ask you not to send these items, as they are not needed for Camp and we don't want them to get lost.
